Released on Netflix, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, the spin-off series of The Bridgerton Chronicle, is generating a lot of interest. A season 2 is already highly anticipated by fans, but Netflix is not yet considering a sequel. But who knows? Maybe the success of the series will lead us to discover Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story season 2…
The spin-off series of The Bridgeton Chronicle, entitled Queen Charlotte, was released on Netflix on May 4. In just a few days, it has become one of the most watched series on the platform. It occupied the 1st place in the top 10 as soon as it was released. The royal cast matches perfectly with its previous series with talented actors such as India Amarteifio, Corey Mylchreest, Arsema Thomas and Golda Rosheuvel. All of this mix has helped her conquer millions of subscribers on the « TOUDOUM » platform.
The recipe for success? Its romantic plot, its diversity discourse, its sleek sets, its sumptuous costumes and its acidic aesthetic. But once the six episodes have been swallowed up, a question lingers in our minds…
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story season 2 in the drawers at Netflix?
For the moment, it is still difficult to confirm a sequel for the series. However, the romance of Charlotte and George could still be the subject of a second salvo of episodes. Netflix is playing it safe for the moment and does not want to give the green light for a sequel. Produced as a mini-series, Queen Charlotte may not return to the small screen. The streaming giant has not yet expressed itself on the subject. As for Arsema Thomas, she seems excited to potentially reprise the role of the young Lady Danbury, as she told EW:
« It would be amazing to inhabit that space again. But also where we’ve left her off now, she’s a good space. If that’s the last time I get to be her, she’s empowered and she’s ready to walk on her own two feet. But if I do get a call for doing it again, I will take it. »
