« The Tailor »: will there be a season 2 for the Netflix series?

 The Tailor is one of the most popular series of the moment on Netflix. A season 2 is already planned by Netflix. This Turkish series, directed by Cem Karci and written by Rana Mamatlioglu, is inspired by a true story.

Although Netflix is sometimes hesitant to renew its recent series, it has nevertheless decided to order a second season for The Tailor. According to The Cinemaholic, filming for this upcoming season took place from June to August 2022.

Netflix also attached a small teaser of the next chapter after the first season’s finale, confirming that the new episodes are now in the post-production stage.

Filming for the first three seasons of the show would have taken place at the same time. The production of the second season would have started in July 2022 and ended in August 2022.

Fictions from Turkey are almost always a huge success on the « TOUDOUM » platform. This growing popularity of Turkish series on Netflix could encourage the platform to invest more in this type of content.

Who will be back in season 2 of The Tailor?

The first teaser of the second season of The Tailor confirmed the presence of actors Çağatay Ulusoy (Peyami Dokumaci), Şifanur Gül (Esvet), Salih Bademci (Dimitri) or Olgun Şimşek (Mustafa). Ece Sükan (Suzi) and Engin Senkan (Sulun) will also return in the next chapter of the Netflix series. The Tailor‘s cast is expanding with the presence of actress Berrak Tuzunataç, whose role has not been disclosed.

Season 2 of The Tailor is scheduled for release on 28 July 2023. The series will be broadcast exclusively on Netflix.
