After a first series of four seasons on Netflix, Castlevania comes back with Castlevania Nocturne. Is a season 2 planned?
First released in 2017 and based on the video games Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, the animated series is back on Netflix. Castlevania Nocturne was realeased on September 28th of this year. It takes place after the series Castlevania already on Netflix. This animated show created a lot of interest from the fans. Let us remind you the universe storyline.
When his human wife is burned at the stake after being falsely accused of witchcraft, the vampire Vlad Dracula Țepeș declares all the people of Wallachia will pay with their lives. He summons an army of demons that overruns the country, slaughtering the population and leaving the survivors to live lives of fear and distrust. To combat this, Trevor Belmont, the last living member of a once-legendary family of monster hunters, takes up arms against Dracula’s forces, aided by the magician Sypha Belnades and Dracula’s dhampir son Alucard.
Focusing on the character of Richter Belmont, the new animated series takes place during the French Revolution, after the Castlevania series.
A second season ofCastlevania Nocturne?
Altought the series was released only a few days ago, the question of a possible season 2 is asked. Even if it is still too early to say, for now. Indeed, to be sure that a new season will come, audience must be good.
In view of the end of season 1, it is nevertheless possible to get a season 2. In this case, we will probably not be able to watch it before 2024 or 2025! Fortunately, the Hollywood writers strike is over now, which means that projects like this one could be back on track very soon.
What can we expect from the next season?
In this potential season 2, it is possible that Alucard will join forces with Belmonts to try to defeat the bad ones who are trying to conquer the world. It is also possible that the series will follow the storyline of the video games.
Finally, the series Castlevania Nocturne could have a good path ahead of it. If it follows in the footsteps of the Castlevania series and has 4 seasons, the fans would be delighted.
